Austin Agility's puppy training program is tailored not only toward creating the perfect companion, but also lays a solid foundation for going on to participate in dog sports as they grow older. 

Our comprehensive Super Star Puppy Program begins teaching your new four legged family member all of the basic obedience that every dog should know. Teaching your puppy skill sets which ensure that as they grow older, the behaviors you've taught become set in stone for life. My philosophy is to teach good behavior when they are young, rather than having to go back to fix problem behaviors as they grow older.

If you have gotten a puppy and know that you will want to do dog sports in the future, we will go over foundation handling skills and groundwork that you can begin with your puppy immediately. 

Super Star Puppy Program

• Potty training
• Crate training
• Mouthing and biting
• Chewing only on appropriate items
• Teaching the puppy not to jump on people
• Handling skills for grooming
• Teaching them how to play with toys appropriately 
• Teaching them to hush if they are barking too much
• Desensitization to novel things like noises and sights (vacuum, sweeping, hair dryers, walking on different types of flooring, etc)
• Basic obedience: Sit, Stand, Down, Coming when called, Leash walking, Stay, Go to Bed, Leave it, Wait at door, Fetch
• Field trips in public to meet new people and safe dogs
• Teaching basic house manners, such as not going into a certain room or getting on the couch if you have certain places you would like her to stay off of
• Tricks: Shake, Barking on command, Roll over,  Spin and Twist, High Five, etc

Private Lesson Slots: Monday through Saturday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm 

Puppy Training and Evaluation session: 90-minutes, $150

Puppy Training Session: 75-minutes, $150

At the conslusion of your initial evaluation and training session, we will be able to give a good estimate on the number of sessions that you will need to reach the training goals discussed, and can then offer package discounts.
